My original source for that was from Stephen Hawking on the Discovery Channel’s Curiosity where he mentions it as a reason a creator god is unlikely in much the same way I did. I can’t find it on youtube because of copyright, but you can probably locate it from other sources.

The thing to remember is that string theory is actually a handful of competing theories that make up slightly different predictions. One of them is the ten-dimensional space, which is described in that video. Stephen Hawking describes the concept a bit in this lecture, but in the variant of string theory he is describing the extra dimensions loop much like two portals in a hallway as described in my article. However, the fact that time is curved along with space does give credence to the idea that it has three dimensions in the way he described it on his episode of Curiosity, and the concept is picking up acceptance in the physics community.
